Welcome! As Director of Discovery Child Care Inc, I bring over 23 years' experience in Childhood Education, working with children pre-k - 15 years. My goal as Center Director is to ensure your child’s social, emotional and cognitive well-being, in addition to promoting parent interaction through communication and participation. My staff and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve all of the students and their families in our program and look forward to sharing our excitement and commitment to education with many more.

Ms. Vilma has been with Discovery since 2012 and couldn't be happier in her role as the lead teacher of our infant room. Vilma has her Child Development Associate and with her many years of experience in child care, has created a warm and nurturing environment for our youngest students.
Ms. Amanda has worked at Discovery since 2020. She worked in a number of classrooms at Discovery before becoming the lead teacher of the toddler classroom. "I have always loved the toddler age group and all of the rewards that come with it". Amanda is currently working towards her Child Development Associate and loves to crochet and all things Disney.
Ms. Abbey has worked in our Day Care for 3.5 years with all ages, but found her calling in Pre-K 2! She is passionate about helping her students feel secure in expressing their emotions, building the knowledge and tools to help them succeed in each classroom setting, and potty training. "I enjoy building relationships with each family and helping every child in my care grow"
Ms. Alyssa has been the lead teacher of Pre-K 3-1 since 2021. Alyssa graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music, but soon found her passion was for teaching children. "It is my goal to instill confidence in my students and help them grow in a warm and nurturing environment" Alyssa devotes a lot of time to process art along with learning to not only recognize shapes and numbers, but begin writing them as well. Outside of the classroom, Alyssa's favorite activities include art and spending time with her two cats and dog.
Ms. Laura graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Family and Child Studies and received her Master's in Child Advocacy and Policy. She has been with Discovery since 2020 and although she began in the toddler room, she moved to After Care after securing a job in the public school system where she worked in an ABA classroom. Since then, she has made her way back to Discovery full time teaching Prek3-2. Laura has been working in childcare for 15 years and has two young daughters of her own. When not at work, Laura enjoys spending time with her girls, baking and running!
Ms. Elizabeth is an experienced pre-kindergarten teacher with seven years of dedicated service, including a role as assistant director. " I am passionate about fostering early childhood development so I returned to the classroom to create a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive" Elizabeth is committed to providing quality education and fostering a love for learning in her youngest learners
Ms. Hilary is Originally from Cranford and proud to be the Kindergarten teacher at Discovery. Hilary began working at Discovery during the summers while she was earning her degree at Rutgers University. Upon graduation, she began to work full time and has been the lead teacher in the Kindergarten room for 15+ years. "I really enjoy helping each child progress in all areas of development—not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive, fun environment"
